Latest Trends in Ethnic Wear 2019. My personal life could be a bit coma-ish. My work could bore me hell. And, I could be snoozing through my days like a fat-ass potato. But, there’s one thing that makes me jumpy and pumpy and what not. It’s the fashion. I cannot ever, like EVER, be cursory about it. It has to be spot-on, always. But believe me, it’s easier said than done.
Call me a fashion victim if you may, but the fashion columns I read everyday are some sort of morning pills. I cannot skip them over. That corroborates my intense knowledge of style trends and why I am always right about what to wear around a season.
They say, I have an eye for style. So, banking strongly on my abilities, I tried to unravel the best ethnic fashion trends that might hit the market in the coming 2019.
You know how beautiful Indian attires look. I have a separate shelf dedicated to my ethnic lineups, which are super dear to me. What I like about them is how they highlight your body nuances, besides turning up the elegance of course, without looking explicit and tasteless. Drape a saree or don a kurta, if done right and in sync with the trends, you’re certainly dressed to kill.
So, if my passion for Indian ethnics have reached out to you quite conspicuously, it’s time to talk about the Indian ethnic trends all set to dominate 2019. Check them out and pick your favourite.
1. Ruffle Lehengas
Ruffle is the season’s favourite takeaway. And, the one way to take on this trend, which has already become popular, is the beautiful ruffle lehengas. Pair it with embroidered cholis, solid crop tops, or floor-length capes, and pull of a chic-cum-classy look. If I’ve to give it to a ‘western’ trend juxtaposing with the ‘east’, I see no better a choice than ruffles.
Rev up your ethnic styling with some fringes on the edges, what say? The tufts of shimmery threads look so gorgeous on a blouse or a choli that I’m regretting about not having one piece of such kind in my wardrobe. Fringes, when combined with beads, sequins and embroidery, look stunning par your imagination. I am convinced that fringes will dominate the entire length of 2018 and be the best of ethnic trends 2019.
3. Floral Patterns
If you’re following ace designer Sabyasachi on Instagram, you know what I am talking about. The man truly has some midas touch when it comes to floral embroidery. I can’t stop crushing over his saree and lehenga floral, which are absolutely tempting to look at. Let me confess, I’m dying to have a floral ethnic as ravishing as Sabyasachi’s, because man, his prices taunts and haunts my budget. *weeps in a corner*
4. Ivory & Sheer
The season is romancing with all the nice lacy, sheer and ivory stuff gracing the floor. And, there’s no slowing down to this amazing trend. The fact, that it has already arrived to Indian wears, is making me swooning over like a baby. Hail the man, Manish Malhotra, who has set the template large for ivory and sheer to bling up the regular sarees, lehengas, gowns and everything ethnic.
5. Front-Facing Dupattas
I’m disappointingly stuck to the cliched style of carrying a dupatta – around the neck. Agreed, there are different ways of handling a dupatta, but front-facing style is my favorite, and I am doing it for my BFF’s wedding this month. We’ve already seen it on a lot of celebrities and it looks so refreshing. The best part is – I am done away with the need of accessorizing my hands, because my heavy dupatta compensates for it.
6. Fur Blouses
Fur blouses caught up with the craze after a successful stint on the ramp shows and soon, were everywhere to be seen. I’m in awe of this style for how beautifully it covers up broad (and sometimes fleshy as that of mine) shoulders and makes you look powerful. This latest ethnic wear is guaranteed to have a long run, so stock up your wardrobe with one or two fur blouses, like Now.
Here are the best 2019 ethnic wear trends to try out. There is a huge array of styles, be it fur, capes or layering, to up your fashion game and look sophisticated. Promote your ethnic sartorial from the season’s best picks and raise a few eyebrows. After all, looking your best is the only reality and you got to live up to it.
